In re: Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19):

Please be advised that the United States Courts for the District of Vermont are operating under a continuity of operations plan in response to the Coronavirus pandemic. The Burlington and Rutland courthouses and public counters are now open from 8:30am to 5:00pm to support the hearings of both the District and Bankruptcy courts, but will continue to operate with limited staff and resources. Please refer to General Orders Nos. 86, 87, 88, 89 and 90 available under News & Announcements, as well as Standing Orders No. 20-09 and No. 20-14 for more detailed information on our continuity of operations plans. Upon request, a member of the public or a media representative will be given the call-in information for hearings being held remotely. If you need assistance with court filings or have any questions, please call our Burlington Clerk’s Office at (802) 657-6400. Welcome

Welcome to the official website for the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Vermont. Our Clerk's Office is at 11 Elmwood Avenue, Burlington, VT and is open from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. every weekday except federal holidays.  Hearings and creditors meetings are held in either Rutland or Burlington depending on whether the debtor resides in the southern or northern part of the state.  There is no staffed Bankruptcy Court Clerk's Office in Rutland.
