NOTICE OF CONSOLIDATION OF THE DISTRICT AND BANKRUPTCY COURTS

On May 5, 2017, the President signed into law the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2017, an omnibus bill funding the Judiciary for fiscal year 2017. We are pleased to announce that the enactment of the bill provides the approval for the consolidation of the district and bankruptcy courts within the District of Vermont, satisfying the requirements under 28 U.S. C. § 156(d) for congressional approval..
