UNITED STATES BANKRUPTCY COURT
DISTRICT OF VERMONT

IN RE:                                                                 )
                                                                           )
NOTICE TO FILE OBJECTIONS                        )          GENERAL ORDER 97-1
TO HOMESTEAD EXEMPTIONS                       )

The Court extended the time for Case Trustees to object to Debtors' claims of homestead exemption in a number of cases, pending a determination of whether an increase in the amount of Vermont's homestead exemption applied to pre-existing debt. The Court's orders in such cases generally extend the time until after resolution of the issue in the case of In re Euber, Case No. 97-10062. The issue has been decided by the Court's "Memorandum of Decision Denying Trustee's Objection to Homestead Exemption" in another case, In re Skjetne, Case No. 97-10033, Document #78-1.

Accordingly, any objections to exemption that have been held in abeyance pending decision of In re Euber must be filed by 4:00 P.M. August 27, 1997.

DATED at Rutland, Vermont this 28th day of July, 1997.
