From the North (Burlington, Middlebury)
Proceed south on U.S. 7. Stay in the right lane
Turn right at the Mobil gas station onto West Street (U.S. 4 Business).
Proceed straight down the hill, past the first light (Wales St.).
Midway down the block on the left, there is an entrance into a parking garage. There is a fee to use this garage (currently $3.00 each time you enter).
To the U.S. Post Office and Courthouse: From the garage, exit by foot onto West St, turn left and walk down West St. approximately 1-1/2 blocks to the U.S. Post Office and Courthouse (it will be on your right).
To the Opera House/Clerk's Office: From the garage, exit by foot onto West St, turn left and walk down West St. approximately half a block to the corner of West St. and Merchants Row. Cross Merchants Row using the crosswalk at the light, then turn left and walk to the first door past Clay's. Enter through that door. This is the Opera House (67 Merchants Row). The Clerk's Office is on the second floor.
If you do not wish to park in the garage, there is also metered street parking throughout the downtown area.
From the South (Brattleboro, Bennington)
Proceed north on U.S. 7. Try to stay in the left lane, since you will eventually be turning left.
Turn Left at the light onto Strongs Avenue (there will be a Dunkin' Donuts on the right and a KFC and a car wash on the left).
Continue on Strongs Ave. past the Rutland Shopping Plaza (Wal Mart). Note that Strongs Avenue turns into Merchants Row at the Rutland Shopping Plaza. Continue driving until you reach the light at West Street (there will be a Citizen's Bank in front of you to the left).
The U.S. Post Office and Courthouse is on West Street to the left.
To get to the parking garage, turn Right onto West St. and proceed approximately 1/2 block. The entrance to the parking garage is on your right, at the Transit Center. There is a fee to use this garage (currently $3.00 each time you enter).

From the East (White River Junction, Woodstock)
Proceed west on U.S. 4 (Woodstock Avenue) to its intersection with U.S. 7 (North Main Street). Stay in the middle lane as you will want to proceed onto U.S. 4 Business.
Turn left (south) onto U.S. 7 (North Main Street).
Turn right at the Mobil gas station onto West Street (U.S. 4 Business).

From the West (Castleton, Fair Haven, New York State)
Proceed east on U.S. 4 to its intersection with U.S. 7. An entrance to Diamond Run Mall will be directly in front of you.
Turn left (north) onto U.S. 7.
Proceed north on U.S. 7. Try to stay in the left lane, since you will eventually be turning left.

The Vermont Transit bus station is co-located on West Street with five (5) level parking garage.
